As the curtain rises for Act II of the 1999-2001 Masquerade trilogy, who better to play the part of the 2000 SCS Annual Edition, than Columbine, commedia dell'arte's favourite heroine?
Designed by Gabriele Stamey in a stunning blend of full-cut and matt crystal with just a hint of colour, Columbine is a perfect expression of mysterious, coquettish allure. Standing 165mm high, the figure represents 'all the dynamic women in the world,' according to Gabriele. 'I wanted to give her an air of romantic mystery,' she continues, 'so that when you look at her, you do not know what she is thinking. You have to use your imagination.'
